New Delhi, October 28 Congress leader Digvijaya Singh Sunday lashed out at Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi asking why cannot a “better leader” like Sushma Swaraj be the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate.
Digvijaya Singh tweeted , “And BJP needs Indian voters to vote for this megalomaniac psychopath Lier (sic)! could not BJP find a stronger leader? what is wrong with Sushma?”
whereas reacting to Modi’s comments that Jawaharlal Nehru did not attend Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s funeral.
Swaraj, however, was fast to dismiss Digvijaya’s comments with a retort: “Even i feel Digvijaya Singhji may be a better candidate than Rahul Gandhi.”
This is not the primary time that Digvijaya has called for Swaraj to be named BJP’s prime ministerial candidate.
Last year yet, he said it was Swaraj’s “right” to be seen as a contender for the prime minister’s chair.
