New Delhi, October 25 The world Bank will give a $360 million loan for restructuring of water sector projects in Uttar Pradesh.
Nilaya Mitash, a joint secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs in the union finance ministry on behalf of the govt of India and country director Onno Ruhl, , world bank on behalf of the world Bank signed an agreement for the loan here Thursday.
“Objective of the project is to support the state government on capacity building of Water Users Association, modernization of irrigation, rehabilitation and drainage systems, development of basin watercourse planning methods, rehabilitation of dams, groundwater studies, knowledge base and flood management systems.
The project will have to be completed the project by October 31, 2020.
