Panaji, Nov 13, 2016: Many MPs opposed PAN being obligatory to purchase jewelry. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that more than 50 per cent of MPs advised him to not make PAN obligatory for purchasing jewelry.

“You may be shocked to know that many MPs requested me to not make PAN obligatory for buy of jewellery value Rs 2 lakh,” Modi in a speech after laying the inspiration stone of a brand new airport in Goa.
This was Modi’s first public speech within the nation after he de-monetized 500 and 1,000 rupee notes final week as Many MPs opposed PAN being obligatory to purchase jewelry.
