Chennai, Oct 6, 2016: Indian communication satellite GSAT-18 put into orbit. An Indian communication satellite GSAT-18 was efficiently put into orbit by Ariane 5 rocket belonging to French firm Arianespace on Thursday, Indian house agency stated.

The rocket lifted off from its spaceport in Kourou (French Guiana).
In response to Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) its Master Control Facility (MCF) at Hassan in Karnataka took management of GSAT-18 and carried out the preliminary orbit elevating actions by firing the motors onboard the satellite as Indian communication satellite GSAT-18 put into orbit.
The satellite was positioned in a round geostationary orbit, ISRO mentioned.
GSAT-18 is India’s newest communication satellite with 48 transponders that obtain and transmit communication indicators when Indian communication satellite GSAT-18 put into orbit.
The three,404 kg satellite will present providers in regular C-band, higher prolonged C-band and Ku-bands of the frequency spectrum.
The satellite carries Ku-band beacon as effectively to assist in precisely pointing floor antennas in the direction of the satellite.
