Mumbai, Nov 21, 2016: Parrikar commissions INS Chennai into Indian Navy. Marking the completion of the essential Project 15A of the Indian Navy, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar commissioned the most recent indigenously-built destroyer INS Chennai into the power right here on Monday.

“This can be a historic day for the Indian Navy,” Parrikar stated, lauding the indigenously designed and constructed, Kolkata-class guided missile destroyer constructed by Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. (MDL) in Mumbai.
Current on the event was Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Sunil Lanba, as additionally prime officers of Western Naval Command and different dignitaries as Parrikar commissions INS Chennai into Indian Navy.
