reviewed the preparedness for roll-out of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) from April 1, 2017, and requested departments and ministries involved to take all steps to stick to the timeline.

An official assertion issued on Thursday mentioned the Prime Minister held a gathering to evaluate the preparedness to roll out the GST. The assembly was attended by Finanance Minister Arun Jaitley and lots of others.
“So as to be certain that there is no such thing as a slippage on date of implementation of GST from April 1, 2017, the Prime Minister reviewed the progress made on numerous steps wanted for the roll-out of GST referring to preparation of Model GST legal guidelines and guidelines to be framed, institution of IT infrastructure for each Centre and States, coaching of officers of Central and State Governments and outreach for consciousness of trade and business,” the discharge mentioned when Modi evaluations preparedness to roll-out GST.
