New Delhi, Aug 11, 2016: SC refuses interim bail to Asaram Bapu. In a set-back to self-styled godman Asaram Bapu, who’s accused of rape and murder, the Supreme Court on Thursday refused to grant him interim bail on medical grounds.
The courtroom, nonetheless, requested the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to represent a three-member medical board to look at him for the illnesses he’s complaining about.

Refusing to intrude with the Rajasthan Excessive Courtroom order rejecting Asaram’s plea for bail, the bench of Justice Madan B. Lokur and Justice R.K. Agrawal requested the AIIMS Director to represent a three-member medical board to look at him when SC refuses interim bail to Asaram Bapu.
Asking for the report in 10 days’ time, the bench didn’t settle for Asaram’s plea that he be launched on interim bail for a month or two in order that he might journey to Kerala for Panchkarma Ayurveda therapy.
