Documents leak: defence ministry staffer arrested

DEFENew Delhi, Feb 24: An employee of the Defence Ministry was arrested here Tuesday for his alleged involvement within the leak of documents from the petroleum and different ministries, police aforesaid.

Virender Kumar, who was used as an informal employee, was arrested for providing a cast identity card along side a paper with an official stationery to Lalta Prasad.

Police aforesaid the document was employed by Rajkumar Chaubey to arrange the fake permission for his vehicle to project that it was employed by the govt..

However, police aforesaid that no sensitive documents were found leaked or taken from the defence ministry.

Lalta Prasad, 36, and Rakesh Kumar, thirty – each brothers and residents of Delhi, along side Rajkumar Chaubey, 39, a resident of Ghaziabad, were arrested Feb seventeen night, the day the leak of documents from the petroleum ministry was unearthed.

All 3 are at the present in judicial custody.

Delhi Police has registered 2 FIRs in reference to the leak of classified documents related to different ministries, together with coal, petroleum and natural gas, and power — 1st Feb seventeen and second Feb twenty.

Virender Kumar’s named is mentioned within the 1st FIR.
