South West TrainsOctober 28, A reduced timetable will be operational while trains will be restricted to 50mph in high winds, resulting in extended journey times.

Southern and Gatwick express services won’t run till it’s declared safe as tracks may have to be cleared.

1st Great Western has also warned of extended traveling times.

All operators advised customers to check their websites and Twitter feeds for the latest info.

“Our advice to passengers is extremely clear; do not travel unless it’s absolutely necessary, a spokesperson for South West Trains said:

“Like other transport operators, we are continuing to watch the situation closely and we can place the security of customers and our workers 1st.”
