L K ANew Delhi, March 12: The RSS wasn’t concerned within the killing of Mahatma Gandhi, BJP patriarch L.K. Advani said in a web log, quoting Gandhi’s grandson Rajmohan Gandhi Wed.

“This book by Rajmohan Gandhi has effectively nailed the Congress party’s denigrating campaign against the RSS in respect of Mahatmaji’s assassination,” Advani wrote.

The BJP leader aforesaid that Rajmohan Gandhi in his book on Patel quoted a letter dated February 27, 1948, written by Patel to Jawaharlal Nehru.

The letter said: “I have unbroken myself virtually in daily bit with the progress of the investigation concerning Bapu’s assassination case. I devote a large a part of my evening to discussing with Sanjeevi (head of intelligence and officer of police, Delhi) the day’s progress and giving directions to him on any points that arise. All the defendant have given long and careful statements… It emerges clearly from these statements that the RSS wasn’t concerned in it at all.”

Advani aforesaid that anyone who analyses history “readily feels that if Gandhiji had chosen Sardar Patel rather than Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to become free India’s initial prime minister, it’s quite probably the history of these early years might are quite different”.

He also quoted Rajmohan Gandhi’s book on Patel, speech “while acknowledgements are unctuous within the case of Jawaharlal Nehru, and obedient within the case of Gandhi, they’re stingy  within the case of Patel”.
