mmodiNew Delhi, Feb 27: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi Thursday asked traders to adopt more technology and switch to on-line trade model whenever necessary.

“We need to convert challenges into opportunities. don’t be frightened of new challenges. Adopt technology and make virtual malls in your retailers. Now, even people in smallest cities are longing for branded product. Use technology to cater thereto. If necessary do workshop to be told the answer, however don’t run away,” Modi said whereas addressing the All India Traders Convention here.

He said the BJP has the image of a traders’ party and added: “We can take their (traders) suggestions for our manifesto.”

“A person with no risk taking ability will ne’er be a bargainer,” he said.

During his address he told traders that quality control is very vital.

He mentioned that the country’s economy should progress in order that the buying power of the common person goes up.

Modi criticised the foreign trade policy of the country and said: “Our external affairs ministry is functioning in an quaint method. The trend of running the state from Delhi should stop.”

He said it’s vital to recognise the strength of each state.

Regarding trust building between the govt and the people, he said usually the govt and the tax department conceive traders as “thieves”, however that must not be the thanks to treat traders.

“People should trust one another which should be the way ahead. at that time if there are any loopholes, law is there to require care of it.”
