ramdasMysore (Karnataka), Feb 12: Karnataka’s former BJP minister S.A. Ramdas late Tuesday tried to commit suicide by hanging in a house in this town of palaces, concerning 150km from Bangalore.

“Ramdas is out of danger tho’ below observation in a private hospital,” a party source told IANS early Wednesday.

According to unconfirmed  reports, Ramdas, a 54-year-old bachelor, was upset when he learnt that a woman, who claimed that he married her recently, vulnerable to reveal his relationship with audio and video proof.

“We learnt from the house workers that Ramdas was hurried to Phoebus hospital when he was introduction hanging in the room wherever he checked in earlier within the day,” the source said on the condition of obscurity.

The woman, by name Premkumari, in late 30s, told local news channels that tho’ she had glorious Ramdas since 5 years, they’d come close within the recent past when he had secure to marry her and look when her, as she was a widow with 2 kids from 1st wedding.

“He (Ramdas) threatened to kill if I speak to media and disclosed our conversations, that I had recorded in my mobile telephone,” Premkumari was detected telling news anchors in native language (Kannada).

Even as Premkumari was briefing the media Tuesday evening outside a government office where she works, Ramdas reported to have referred to as her on mobile and vulnerable to consume poison if she failed to stop talking to the media.

Ramdas, who control the medical education portfolio in the 1st Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government within the state, lost to the Congress candidate in the could 2013 state legislature elections from the Krishnaraja constituency in the recent Mysore region.
