Five women gang-raped in Bihar

RAPPatna, Oct 10: 5 women have been allegedly gang-raped at a gun-point by 3 men in Bihar’s Bhojpur district, police aforesaid Fri.

Two of the 3 suspect are arrested to date, police aforesaid.

The incident took place at Kurmuri village in Bhojpur and a case has been registered, aforesaid Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar.

Bhojpur is found regarding sixty km from Patna.

All the victims were rag-pickers, residents of Dumaria village, and went to Kurmuri to sell their scraps to a dealer Wed evening.

According to police, victims (Mahadalit) aforesaid they set to remain back in Kurmuri because it was already night that day.

“Three men with pistols raped them and vulnerable them to not inform anyone regarding the incident or they’d face dire consequences,” a police official aforesaid.

The victims aforesaid the men took them to an isolated place and tied them with ropes. They were forced to consume liquor. The 3 then took turns to rape them whereas four to 5 people were keeping a watch outside.

Hundreds of people protested against the incident by block Fatehpur-Sikarhatta road since Fri morning, stringent arrest of all the suspect.

“One of the victims approached police Th and informedĀ  regarding the incident,” Rajesh Kumar aforesaid.

He aforesaid Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Singh has been asked to probe the incident.
