New Delhi, Dec 10: The central government is creating efforts to confirm night shelters for all homeless people, specially those that have migrated to urban areas in search of work, Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu aforesaid Wednesday.

“The urban development ministry command a gathering in November with all state chief secretaries within the matter,” he informed  the Lok Sabha throughout question hour.

Naidu aforesaid that tho’ providing shelters is the privilege of the state governments, the central government stepped in when directions from the Supreme Court for it.

“We support the theme to own night shelters as a part of the National Urban sustenance Mission,” he said.

The central government is also funding this theme, the minister aforesaid, adding that efforts have conjointly been created to rope in some NGOs and government land is being hired out for creating such shelters.

He aforesaid that migration from rural to urban areas is happening within the country on a large scale as health and education facilities are unavailable  in villages.

Naidu conjointly aforesaid that the govt has firmed up a replacement housing arrange which can be conferred before the cabinet shortly.
