Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 18, 2016:  Kerala allots Rs 10,000 cr for government schools. Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Issac has earmarked Rs 10,000 crore ($1.5 billion) for state-run and aided faculties for the 5 12 months time period of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) led Left Democratic Front authorities.

The IT@School project has been entrusted the duty of forming a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to supervise the programme.

Talking to IANS, Executive Director of IT@School K.Anwar Sadath, mentioned that this programme has two segments.

“One section includes organising of round 60,000 hi-tech class rooms in all authorities and aided faculties from commonplace eight to 12. The second section focuses on elevating 1,000 colleges to worldwide requirements,” mentioned Sadath when Kerala allots Rs 10,000 cr for government schools.

Professor-turned-Minister Thomas Issac has put aside Rs 450 crore for the primary yr of those two programmes.
