Use industrial waste in road construction: Odisha CM

NAVEENBhubaneswar, Jan 19: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Mon urged experts to suppose utilizing industrial wastes like ash, scum and plastic waste in road construction.

“Fly ash to the tune of 25.307 million tonnes and 0.828 million tonnes of scum are being made in Odisha every year. The disposal of those materials could be a real hard task for the producers and a menace for the state. He aforesaid the govt is disbursal concerning twenty five % of its budget on building within the state.

Recently, we’ve tendered for Biju expressway, which might connect the commercial town of Rourkela with Raipur in Chhattisgarh,” Patnaik aforesaid.
