Tata-PowerBangalore, Jan 9: Leading energy solutions provider Tata Power solar Thursday disclosed a new solar power system to get one kilo volt-ampere (kva) for providing uninterrupted power offer for eight hours at affordable price.

“Our latest product – Tata dynamo — offers users easy option to switch over to solar energy for at least eight hours of uninterrupted power offer at lower price,” Tata group company chief govt Ajay Goel aforesaid in a statement here.

The intelligent system comprising solar panels, inverter and battery charges itself whereas powering connected appliances through solar power, that is its primary supply of energy.

“In the absence of sunlight, dynamo automatically shifts to regular electricity. The system provides four-to-eight hours of back-up to appliances like lights, fans, tv and air cooler,” Goel aforesaid.

As state-run and personal utilities don’t seem to be ready to meet the growing energy wants of even households and smaller businesses, forcing several of them to use diesel generators throughout power cuts, generator is an eco-friendly substitute for restriction, he said.

“Studies show that households pay on the average Rs.1,500 per month on grid power and extra price on operative a diesel generator. By finance in generator, its price is recovered in 18 months whereas availing uninterrupted power while not further price,” Goel claimed.

The product, with 10-year lifetime, also edges from the 30 % subsidy the ministry of recent and renewable energy provides on solar-based devices to push green energy.

“Dynamo helps each urban and rural class to manage power cuts higher whereas reducing energy bills considerably. The system is also easy to put in and is power packed with features,” Goel side.

As an entirely in hand subsidiary of Tata Power, the company has 3 producing units and has 40 service centres across the country.

The company also operates a 180 megawatt module and cell producing facility in the town.
