RO water for Rajasthan villages

ROOJaipur, April 5: The Rajasthan government can provide Ro (reverse osmosis)purified drinking water to rural households this summer at 10 paisa per litre, an official aforesaid Fri.

The regime can set up 1,000 Ro plants under a theme to provide clean water to the rural areas. The villages wherever water has higher level of fluoride content will be given priority within the 1st section, the official aforesaid.

“Under the theme, we plan to provide a minimum of 40 liters of water pure with the Ro technology, to each household in close villages wherever the Ro plants will be set up,” aforesaid a senior official of the public health and engineering department.

The theme was launched once Ashok Gehlot was the state chief minister.

“We are trying to make these Ro plants useful from this summer. Water-borne diseases during the season, ar a cause of concern for the authorities,” aforesaid the official.

“The regime can install the Ro plant with a capability of filtering 500 liters of water each hour within the rural areas, that have population of about 1,000 people. The areas, that have more population can have Ro plants accordingly,” he said.

In the 1st section, the government can set up 360 plants in Jodhpur, 150 plants in Ajmer, 300 plants in Bharatpur, 30 every in Bikaner and Kota divisions, 100 in Jaipur and 40 plants in Udaipur division, the official said.
