Petrol, diesel prices up

Petrol-dieselNew Delhi, Dec 21: petrol costs were hiked by 41 paise per cubic decimeter, and of diesel by a little under 10 paise a litre, each excluding excise or VAT, with result from Fri hour, when the govt. raised the commission paid to fuel dealers.

“The government has currently set to revise the dealer’s commission on diesel from Rs.1,089 per kilolitre (or one.089 per litre) to Rs.1,186 per kl for the whole country with immediate result,” a petroleum ministry statement said here.

Diesel, that is sold-out at Rs.53.67 a cubic decimeter in Delhi, can price Rs.53.77 when the hike. Diesel prices were last revised on Dec one, after they went up by 57 paise.

State-run Indian Oil corporation aforesaid the commission paid to petrol pump operators is being raised by 21 paise on petrol to Rs.1.95 a litre.

Petrol in Delhi presently prices Rs 71.02 per liter and when the increase, it’ll be priced around Rs 71.50.

The commission on diesel was previously revised on Oct 26, 2012, once it had been raised from Rs. 912 per kl.

“Public sector oil marketing corporations were requested by the ministry to remodel the quantum of dealer’s commission on diesel (as due) keeping in mind escalations which will have occurred within the in the meantime. The business discovered an equivalent and submitted its recommendations to the ministry,” aforesaid the statement.

It aforesaid the revision was delayed because the model code of conduct was effective on account of the assembly elections in 5 states.
