New Delhi, Feb 12: Tamil Nadu gets 9 new trains out of the 72 declared by Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge in the interim budget for the next financial conferred in parliament Wednesday.
The weekly Kamakhya-Chennai AC specific via Malda, Howrah and the Thiruvananthapuram-Bangalore (Yesvantpur) express (Bi-weekly) via Erode, Tirupattur are the 2 premiums train declared by Kharge — the others are specific and passenger trains.
The new specific and traveler trains declared within the interim budget for Tamil Nadu are:
Bangalore-Chennai express (Daily) via Bangarpet, Jolarpettai.
Mannargudi-Jodhpur express (Weekly) via, Jaipur.
Mumbai-Chennai express (Weekly) via Pune, Gulbarga, Wadi.
Nagercoil-Kacheguda express (Weekly) via Karur, Namakkal, Salem.
Mannargudi-Mayiladuthurai passenger (Daily).
Punalur-Kanniyakumari passenger (Daily) via Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram.
Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli passenger train (Daily).
