New Delhi, Sept 08: Indian phone manufacturer Micromax Monday launched its new smartphone Canvas Nitro for Rs.12,990.

The phone are out there completely on e-commerce portal Snapdeal only.

“Canvas Nitro is one more product from the Micromax stable to democratize technology with integration of superior technology, nice style and seamless usability. Our partnership with Snapdeal additional simplifies the method for many new-age Indian shoppers preferring to buy on-line to induce Canvas Nitro with simply some clicks,” Vineet Taneja, chief officer, Micromax aforesaid.

The phone comes with a 1.7GHz Tru octa-core processor for seamless multi-tasking and improved application performance. Equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS show, the phone offers a distinction and coloor ringing with an immersive graphic quality. Running on latest android 4.4 KitKat, the users will access options including voice search, Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls, smart contact prioritization and others.

The phone also has two GB RAM and 8GB ROM.

According to International knowledge Corporation (IDC), Micromax, with eighteen % of the marketshare, was second placed within the Indian mobile market within the second quarter (April-June) of 2014.

The overall India mobile market stood at 63.21 million units within the second quarter in 2014, that is a five % quarter-on-quarter growth against the primary quarter (January-March) of 2014. It attributed the growth to each product classes – smartphones and have phones, IDC said.
