New Delhi, Sept 08:External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj Monday sent her resolve to line up passport seva kendras all told districts across India.

“We can created passport seva kendras in each district. there’s just one passport seva kendra for each state that is why people living in different districts face issues in obtaining passports,” Sushma Swaraj told the media here.

By Oct 31, passport seva kendras will be created in thirty three districts. All the northeastern states can have passport seva kendras presently, she added.

Sushma Swaraj aforesaid her ministry has with success resolved the shortage of passport booklets.

“When I took over because the external affairs minister, there was a shortage of 5.37 lakh booklets. currently there’s zero shortage,” she said.

The minister aforesaid reserves for booklets are ready.

“In one year, around one crore passports are issued. thus we’ve got ordered 2 crore booklets so as to possess strategic reserves,” she said.
