Swaraj does not rule out Modi-Sharif meeting

SHARIFNew Delhi, Sept 08: India Mon didn’t rule out a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistani Premier Nawaz Sharif on the margins of UN General Assembly session later this month, with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj saying the govt. can respond per things that develops.

Talking to media persons here on one hundred days’ work of her ministry, Sushma Swaraj aforesaid the govt. won’t attend the UNGA session with a planned mentality regarding talks with Pakistan.

“We well respond because the situation develops. we aren’t going with a planned mentality,” she aforesaid in response to a question.

India known as off the Foreign Secretary-level talks with Pakistan last month once Islamabad’s diplomat here Abdul Basit met separatist leaders from Jammu and Kashmir. The Foreign Secretary-level talks were scheduled  to be the precursor to the bilateral meeting between Modi and Sharif in New York.
