New Delhi, May 2 : Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Monday explained he “expects” Rahul Gandhi to become the party chief throughout this year.
“Rahul Gandhi is that the VP of the Congress and that we expect him to become president of the party in 2016 itself,” Ramesh added at a news conference at Parliament House.
To a question whether or not the party’s election strategian Prashant Kishor needed Gandhi to be projected because the chief ministerial candidate of state, Ramesh evaded an immediate reply, and instead cleared Congress leaders wish him to guide the party.
